Akinator is an app designed to guess what character, movie, animal, or object a user is thinking of by asking a series of questions. Users initiate a session by selecting a theme and then respond to the genie’s inquiries. The app’s core task involves the user mentally selecting an item, then answering questions to guide Akinator toward a correct guess. It features a redesigned, animated genie that can pose questions using a voice mode, which aims to make the experience accessible to a wider audience.

Beyond its primary focus on characters, Akinator has broadened its capabilities to include guessing movies, animals, and objects. This expansion allows users to engage with a wider range of topics when challenging the app.

User Accounts and Achievements

Users can create an account within the app to keep a record of their progress and accomplishments. This account stores earned Aki Awards and a Genizs’ balance, allowing users to retain their data even when switching mobile devices. The app also features daily challenges, where users attempt to identify five mysterious characters to earn specific Aki Awards, including the prestigious Gold Daily Challenge Aki Award upon completion of the full daily task. Additionally, leaderboards are available for players to compete against others and aim for recognition on the Last Super Awards board or the Hall of Fame.

Customization and Experience Enhancements

A recent update to the app introduced a redesigned genie that is fully animated and expresses new emotions. This update also includes an option to disable these animations, providing users with control over their visual experience. The app supports 17 languages, including French, English, Spanish, and Arabic, catering to a diverse user base. For an uninterrupted experience, a Premium Potion is available to unlock all characters and remove advertisements.
